Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 18 August 2026

1. Introduction

LabelChop is operated by Jake Baden North trading as Donkeh Labs (ABN 87 636 703 254). We are committed to protecting your privacy and this policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our shipping label automation service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information provided directly by users, including:

  • Account information (name, email address, company name)
  • Payment and billing information
  • Device identifiers for license activation (machine ID)
  • Application usage data (feature usage, error reports)
  • Website and product analytics such as page views, referral source, and selected product actions
  • Communications sent to us

When you use the web converter, the PDF is temporarily transmitted over HTTPS to our Vercel-hosted conversion endpoint, processed in memory, returned to your browser, and not retained after the response. We do not intentionally log PDF contents, shipping-label details, tracking numbers, or filenames.

The LabelChop desktop application processes PDFs locally on your computer. Desktop files are not uploaded to LabelChop for cropping or printing.

For browser page passes, we store the email used for unlock or recovery, your page-credit balance, payment status, one-way hashes of browser and recovery credentials, and minimal fraud-prevention and transaction metadata. Raw browser credentials are not stored.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service
  • Manage license activation and subscription status
  • Process payments and send invoices
  • Respond to comments, questions, and support requests
  • Send technical notices, updates, and security alerts
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the licensing system

4. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures including:

  • Encryption for data at rest and in transit
  • Access controls and authentication measures
  • In-memory browser PDF conversion without intentional file retention
  • Local-only PDF processing in the desktop application
  • An essential browser cookie containing a random opaque credential; only its one-way hash is stored server-side

5. Data Retention

Account information is retained while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. Browser page-pass balances and purchase records are retained while credits remain available and as required for payment, refund, fraud-prevention, tax, and legal obligations. Recovery tokens are short-lived and single-use.

You may request account or page-pass data deletion by contacting privacy@labelchop.com. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required by law.
